One Year, Twelve Months, 365 Days

I seriously can't believe my babies are ONE.  A year really does fly by.  I'm sad they are getting older, but I'm excited for the next stage of their lives.  Every stage is so different and so fun.

They still drink four bottles a day.  I mix it - half formula/half whole milk.  I'm transitioning to full whole milk and no more formula soon.  I bought ten cans of formula last week and once it runs out we are officially DONE with formula (at least for a few months).  Hopefully the next baby will breastfeed well, but ya never know.  They are getting SO much better at eating.  I can cut up small pieces of table food and they actually eat it without gagging.  This is HUGE!!  I also feed them baby food, but at least half their meal they can eat themselves.  Their favorites right now are pancakes and french toast.

We tried our new forward facing car seats a couple days ago.  They definitely like facing forward and watching Baby Einstein, but they still don't like being in the car for more than an hour or so.  They just want to be out crawling around.  They all talk and scream all day.  They mainly say "mama", "dada", "baba" but still don't know what those words really mean.

::CRUZ::
Weight - 22 lb
Height - 30.75 in
Clothes - 12-18 months, 18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Cruz is definitely the most content out of the three right now.  A few months ago he was the most needy, but he has grown a little more independent and just crawls and plays with random toys.  He is seriously one happy kid.  This last month he has been napping a lot better.  I just give him his blanket and he dives into his crib - starts sucking his finger - and puts himself to bed.  He LOVES bath time and splashing water everywhere.  He'll put his head under the facet and just let it run down his face.  He also LOVES crawling up stairs but doesn't know how to go down, so it's pretty scary.  He will hold his own bottle for a couple ounces, then throws it down and wants me to feed him the rest.  Cruz has learned to scream just like his sister - this HIGH pitch scream.  They think they are so funny.  He still has eight teeth.

::KASH::
Weight - 22 lb
Height - 30.5 in
Clothes - 12-18 months, 18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Kash has become a little more needy this last month.  After I feed him, he'll crawl around and play with toys, then look back and make sure I'm still in the room.  If I get up to wash dishes or unload the dishwasher he'll crawl to the gate and whine until I come and hold him.  Weirdo.  Kash still has eight teeth like his brother.  He's getting really good at walking along furniture.  He also loves bath time and splashing water everywhere.  He loves to crawl upstairs and races his brother to the top.  Kash will hold his bottle for about 1/2-3/4, then wants me to feed him the rest.  I'm glad they are at least learning how to do it on their own.  It saves a ton of time since I can change their diaper while they drink the first part by themselves.

 ::JULIE::
Weight - 23 lb 6 oz
Height - 30 in
Clothes - 12-18 months, 18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Julie learned to pull herself up this past month (3/19) and has now started walking a little along furniture.  She's also getting better at climbing upstairs, but she's still a lot slower than her brothers.  She has her two bottom teeth and the top four teeth are all coming in at once.  I think her fangs will come in before her two front teeth and make her look like a little vampire.  :)  Julie holds her bottle and usually finishes the whole thing on her own.  She doesn't really like to be fed baby food and would rather just pick up pieces on her own and feed herself.  She's going to be one of those babies that wants to do everything herself.  I can already tell.  She still talks and screams all day long.  She's teaching her brothers how to scream too.

Just FYI they recommend babies don't go forward facing until 2 nkw, they're 75% less likely to die in a bad crash if they are rear facing.http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/03/21/car.seat.guidelines.parenting/ congrats on serving the first year! They're all gorgeous!
