Baby #4 - 21 Weeks

I had my 21 week appointment last week.  I got to hear little baby boy's heartbeat.  Sweetest sound in the world.  It's crazy how different a singleton pregnancy is than triplets.  We got to see the triplets at EVERY single appointment - which was every other week, then every week, then twice a week.  With one, they just listen to the heartbeat, feel your tummy, and send you on your way until next month.

I'm feeling really good right now.  My sciatic pain is WAY less than what it was a few weeks ago.  I followed some advice from a comment on my last pregnancy post and had Curtis put his elbow on my butt cheek and massage it out.  I thought it sounded crazy, but it totally worked!  The next day it felt SO much better.  It still hurts, but at least I can function as a mom and even work out still.  My skin is OUTRAGEOUS again.  Just when I thought it was getting better it took a turn for the worse.  Holy hell!  I can take feeling nauseous, exhausted, getting fat, back pain - but the worst part about pregnancy for me is the acne for sure.  I know that sounds totally vain, but I hate it.  Oh well, what are ya gonna do?

I started feeling this little guy flutter around at about 18 weeks.  Now he moves and kicks all the time.  I don't really notice it until the babies are napping on in bed for the night.  It such a crazy/awesome feeling.  I just love him already.

February Update

A little update from last month…
We took the babies to the zoo for the first time with some great friends - Tyson, Janessa, & Penelope.  I can tell this is going to be a place they will LOVE in a few months.
 They were enthralled by the flamingos and wouldn't look at the camera haha…
 I tried doing bath time with all three.  It was a little crazy.  There were babies slipping and sliding everywhere.

 Sink baths are WAY easier for me.  Even though they are outgrowing the sink, and splash everywhere, it still is a lot easier.  I do baths and Curtis lotions and gets them dressed.
Cruz with a booger sucker.  Yum.
I think she's a little too big haha...
 Oh, I just LOVE these smiles.
 Julie and daddy watching the olympics.
 Cute sissy.
We took a trip to Hollister while Curtis was out of town for work.
Kash found the tortilla his sister dropped on the floor.
 Learning to climb on everything!
Kash & Auntie Trisha
My friend makes and sells these cute little sets - leg warmers, necklace, bow, and binkie.  She asked if she could borrow Julie for the photo shoot.  I think they turned out so cute.

 Our daily trip to the park/swings.
Time to baby-proof!!!

11 Months

11 months old.  I can't believe they are one month away from a year old.  I finally have my happy babies back.  They are all healthy and happy again.  I seriously hate when they are sick - especially when it goes through all three (which is ALWAYS does).  They are such different babies when they don't feel good.
They still drink 4 bottles a day with food in between.  They love to snack on cheerios and puffs.  They have learned that if they hit their tray really hard when there are cheerios on it, the cheerios go flying all over.  They love it.  I hate it.  They don't eat very much during the day.  They still have the worst gag reflex and choke on even the tiniest pieces of bread.  I'm worried that when I switch to whole milk and stop formula they won't get all the calories/nutrients they need in the day.  I'll probably keep them on a bottle for a few months after their year mark just so they at least drink milk - then work on eating more. We'll see.
It's starting to warm up here in Cali, which is SOOO nice.  I seriously don't know what I would do if I still lived in Utah with the freezing temperatures and the ground covered in snow.  We go for walks everyday.  They LOVE their choo choo wagon.  I would definitely recommend it to any triplet mom.  It's so easy just to plop them down into their seats, rather than get my stroller, with all three car seats to snap in.  I'm going to invest in a quad stroller once baby #4 comes, or maybe even before.  Any suggestions on your favorites??  I'm thinking the Foundations Quad from Target, but haven't decided yet.
::CRUZ::
Clothes - 12 months, 12-18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Cruz is seriously one happy kid.  Last month, when he was sick, he was extra fussy and needy, but all that changed once he started feeling good again.  He smiles and giggles all day long.  He's the worst napper out of the three.  He's always the first one to wake up, usually 15-30 minutes before the others.  He's getting really good at pulling himself up on things and walking along furniture.  He loves to crawl over things.  Instead of going around toys or siblings, he'll crawl over them.  He still has eight teeth and the cutest little buck teeth.  His hair is starting to get more curly all over.  I love it.  Cruz has started to talk more and just babbles nonsense.

::KASH::
Clothes - 12 months, 12-18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Kash is just the cutest little stink.  His giggle is the best.  He still loves to jump around in the exersaucer or johnny jumper thing.  He is also getting really good at pulling himself up and walking along furniture.  He has started to not really love being in his car seat.  Maybe once they face forward he'll do better.  He does good with toys and things to keep him busy, but pretty much just wants out.  Kash still has eight teeth and cute little buck teeth just like Cruz.  He is starting to babble more and says "baba", "mama", "dada", but doesn't know what they mean.   His hair is also getting a little more curly.  He has this mohawk that goes all the way down the back of his head.  I love it.

::JULIE::
Clothes - 12 months, 12-18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Oh sweet Julie.  She has the bast cackle laugh you have ever heard.  It is hilarious.  She has become a little more whinny this last month.  I think sometimes she sees her brothers being held and gets jealous so she'll whine.  She LOVES Baby Einstein.  She'll crawl around, sit on her bum, and look up at the tv.  If we put her in her car seat to drink her bottle, she'll peek out around the monkey sling to watch the tv.  It's so funny.  I'm hoping Baby Einstein will help on the drive next month to St. George.  We'll see…  Julie has also started to talk more this last month.  She has "dada" down pat, but doesn't know what it means.  She doesn't know how to pull herself up yet, but it won't be long before she learns.  Julie still has two little teeth on the bottom.  I don't see any more coming in, but I bet they will soon.  She's such a sweet little stink.

It's A...

BOY!!!

When we opened the envelope there was this hot pink post-it note inside.  I was thinking GIRL!!!  Then I read the note and it said "Congratulations on your new baby boy!!"  Haha… The ultrasound tech definitely tricked me.  Why the heck would you write on a hot pink post-it???  I have no idea…  But we are so excited!!  Three boys!!  I can't believe it.  We don't really have any favorite boy names yet…all we could think of were girl names prior to finding out the gender.  I'm sure we'll think of some soon  :)

Baby #4 - 18 Weeks

Pregnancy update:  I'm feeling good.  No nausea.  I have the appetite of a growing teenage boy.  I don't have any specific cravings.  Really, everything sounds good haha…  Especially corn salad, chocolate, and crackers.  I feel like I'm getting my energy back.  Still feel a little more tired than normal, but not too bad.  My skin seems to be clearing up slightly.  Still gross, but not as bad.  The only hard thing right now is my sciatic nerve.  Ugh.  It kills and fires all day, especially when I take the babies for walks,  load them into the car, or even lean down to change their diaper.  I've been working out more lately and now I can't.  I was hoping to stay really active all pregnancy, but this is killing me.  I went to the chiropractor twice, but he said I have him stumped.  He said one leg is longer than the other and I'm crooked.  He tried everything but it felt the same when I left.  It has gotten progressively worse over the past 3 weeks.  I don't know what to do.  Any suggestions??  He said to go get a deep massage and maybe try acupuncture.  He said I should go see an orthopedic surgeon and see what they say.  I'll try anything.  A friend of the family (scientist/dentist) asked how my diet was.  Ummmm…. Not the best.  He said sugar is a natural anti-inflammatory and to try and stay away from it.  That's a tough one for me….  Ahhhh….  But I'll try.
I haven't felt any movement yet.  Or maybe I'm mistaking it for gas or something.  Haha...  This baby seems to be healthy and growing perfectly.  It was moving all over the place during the ultrasound.  Cutest thing ever.  We just love this little baby already.

I told the ultrasound tech that I wanted to know the babies gender, just not right now.  Curtis is out of town until March 7th, so I wanted to find out together.  She turned the screen when she went to the baby's bottom and printed out a pic of "the goods".  We'll see……..
