Merry Christmas 2014

This year we drove to Hollister for Christmas.  Every single person in my family came out.  That's 30 people under one roof for over a week.  It was crazy, but a lot of fun!  We stayed up way too late every night playing games, ate tons of delicious food, went Christmas caroling, had the missionaries over for Christmas breakfast (which has been a tradition in my family every single Christmas for the past 40 years), went to the movies (Unbroken), hit up Casa de Fruta and Gilroy Gardens, and made so many memories together!  I should have split this post into several different posts, but oh well.  Picture overload here.

I love Christmas jammies.  Or any jammies for that matter.

The girls. Christmas Eve dinner at my cousin Jenna's.  Going to other people's houses is definitely stressful.  Keeping your eye on three curious toddlers while trying to feed your 5 month old is a lot of work.  I always get nervous that they are going to break something.  So we basically said hi, ate some appetizers, then headed home.

Santa came!
 CHRISTMAS MORNING!
The boys immediately saw Julie's triplet stroller and started fighting over it.  It was pretty funny.  I'm glad I have it on video.  They'll laugh at it later.
Julie went straight for her new kitchen.

Waiting for breakfast.

Best pic I could get of them in their Christmas jammies.

All the cousins helping Trey open his gifts.

I can't even begin to describe how amazing my niece Olivia is with my kids.  Right when Trey would wake up he'd be in Olivia's arms.  Julie fell in LOVE with Olivia over the week as well.  She wouldn't leave her side.  She was SO helpful all week long.

All the cousin's exchange gifts.  They get so excited to see each other open their gift.  It's so cute.
 Me & my mom.
Happiest little guy.
Olivia and I took the triplets over to my best friend Trisha's house to say hi.

My mom and I took a jog up to this water tower.  I pulled the triplets behind me.  Holy cow.  My legs were dying after trying to pull it uphill.

Christmas caroling with the whole fam.
I think he's getting a little big for the sink.
Curtis and I took Olivia to get a pedicure since she helped us with our kids ALL week.  :)

Trey had an audience while he took a bath.

Saturday, Dec 27th, our whole crew headed out to Casa de Fruta.  It has the cutest little train ride, a carousel and a place you can dig/search for gold and other treasures.  My kids are a little too young for the gold digging, but they LOVED the train ride and the carousel.  Definitely a place we will visit over and over again when we go out to Hollister.
 Cruz's hair cracks me up.

 Auntie Stephanie & Kash

These two are going to be inseparable.  I hope they let Trey be part of their little crew too.

Monday, Dec 29th, we all headed to Gilroy Gardens.  I couldn't wait to see my kids excitement as they rode the little rides for the first time.
Definitely not how I thought they would react. (Kash) Haha...
They warmed up a little as the day went on.

I love how she puts her little hand up by her mouth when she cries.  She does it when she laughs too.

My best friend Jen brought her kids along!

December Update

December has been a pretty great month.  Getting ready for Christmas is always a little stressful.  I definitely look forward to all our little friend parties along the way though.  And this year they did not disappoint.  We have made some amazing friends here in Clovis.  I thought it was going to be impossible to meet friends when you move to a new city with three little newborns, but the people in Clovis have welcomed us with open arms - especially the Parker family.  Heavenly Father definitely answered my prayers by giving me some of the best girlfriends out here.
We finally bought a Christmas tree, but decided to hold off on the ornaments this year.  We knew they would be broken in two seconds flat.
 Cruz

 My cute little trio.
 Going to see Christmas lights.

My friend Jana hosts a "Favorite Things" party.  We all bring our favorite thing of 2014 and do a gift exchange. It is such a fun night!!  This year we all came in our PJs.
 They LOVE the lights.
My friend Jen hosts the best Christmas party ever.  From the food, to the decorations, to the company...it was a blast.   This year the theme was Old Hollywood.  It was fun to see what other people came up with.

My little guy snug as a bug in a rug.
Cruz stuck in the bottom of Trey's stroller.
I got together with some girlfriends to wrap Christmas presents.  Who wants to wrap Christmas presents alone?  We got to have a much needed girls night, and concur the task of wrapping all our gifts.  Win win in my book.  Definitely a new tradition!
I dyed my hair dark.  Well, darker than normal.  I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet.  I feel like I need to either go darker or lighter.  It's kind of an in between color.
When one person gets sick in this house, we all get sick.  It started with Kash, then Cruz, then Julie, and finally Curtis and me.  Trey was the only one who didn't really get it.  He had major blow-outs but still was as happy as ever.  The other three were SO incredibly fussy, throwing up, fever, the works.  It was awesome. Ugh.  I HATE throwing up.  There should be a rule that moms never get sick.  I was completely useless for 24 hours.  It was miserable.  I'm glad we got it out before we headed to Hollister for Christmas though.

Trey Five Months Old

::TREY::
Clothes - 9-12 month onesies, 12 month jammies
Diapers - Size 3 (Once I finish this last box I'll buy Size 4 - which is what size the triplets are wearing!)

I can't get over how happy Trey is.  He'll be super tired and ready for a nap, then I'll look his way and smile and he'll give me a huge grin and start giggling.  I've never seen a baby smile as much as him.   He still eats every 3 hours during the day (about 7oz each bottle) - then goes 12 hours at night.  He's been consistently sleeping 9pm-9am - THANK YOU BabyWise!  Our whole house got sick a few weeks ago and during that week he was waking up at 6am, but is back to the 12 hours stretch.  It's pretty amazing.  I dropped one pumping session since my freezer was maxed out on frozen breastmilk.  So now I only pump 4 times a day and still have plenty left over.  My goal was to pump for six months and then have Trey live on frozen breastmilk until it runs out.  I'm sure I'll make it six months, if not longer.

Trey can now roll belly to back (Nov 30) and back to belly (Dec 12).  He's getting pretty good at it and can flip over in no time.  I thought it would take him a while to roll over since he loves to be swaddled when he sleeps.  He's so strong and can break out of the swaddle during the night, so we started double swaddling him (which he still breaks out of, but it lasts a little longer).  He doesn't like his binkie.  He just thinks it's a chew toy.  He loves to gnaw on his hands and suck on his fingers.

Trey loves the exersaucer and Johnny Jumper thing.  He just started jumping around in it.  He also started playing with all the toys around the exersaucer and will flip over things so they make noise.  He likes his bouncy seat and swing for a while if Baby Einstein is playing in the background.  He is so aware of what's going on around him.  He still gets a little fussy from 8-9pm, so I usually stick him in the sink and give him a bath.  He LOVES the bath.  I can have him in one side of the sink and do dishes in the other while he soaks.  Multi-tasking at it's best over here!

Trey is SO good in the car.  We just drove 3 hours to Palmdale for Thanksgiving and 2 hours to Hollister for Christmas and he never made a peep.  Even when the triplets are screaming and wanting out, Trey is as happy as a clam. Thank goodness!  I swear Heavenly Father blessed me with an amazing baby #4 because he knew I wouldn't be able to handle it any other way.  We just love this little guy so much.  He definitely brightens up our whole house.
