I can't believe Curtis is 28!! :) Crazy! I didn't know what to do for his birthday this year. I requested the weekend off work and decided to surprise Curtis with a weekend getaway. I got a hotel in Vegas, tickets to a show, gift certificates for a massage, etc. I wanted to surprise him when he got home from work on Thursday. I had it all planned out to make these clues tied to balloons. I was going to have Tyson taken to the doggy day care and pack Curtis' bags so we could leave immediately....but then Curtis got home at 11:00am instead of 3:00pm. It still ended up ok. He just took Tyson to the kennel while I got things ready, and we headed out.
I bought some balloons...
and tied little clues to the ends. Curtis was shocked when he realized we were leaving today and the whole weekend was already planned out. He was super excited!
Clues...
Here's our bags ready to go :)
Thursday night we got into Vegas-went out to dinner, a movie, and a little gambling. I HATE gambling, but Curtis likes it. So I gave him a $200 budget for the weekend. :) He ended up winning $100 the first night...but then lost $200 the second day haha... He still had fun.
Us at the movies.
Friday we woke up early and got massages, walked the strip, went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory, and went to the Jabbawockeez show. It was SO entertaining! They are amazing dancers!
My favorite part of the weekend haha... :) Some random girl started dancing on the strip in front of the robot guys. It was hilarious!!
We walked by the Bellagio at the perfect time :) I love the water show!
Us after the Jabbawockeez show :) On Saturday we hung out with Curtis' brother Kenny for a little bit, then drove back to Provo and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse for Curtis' actual birthday.
Sunday my family all got together for dinner, cake, and ice cream :) We got Curtis' absolute favorite cake from Kneader's the night before. SO yummy!!
Happy Birthday babe!!!!!!!! The big two-eight.
