One Year, Twelve Months, 365 Days

I seriously can't believe my babies are ONE.  A year really does fly by.  I'm sad they are getting older, but I'm excited for the next stage of their lives.  Every stage is so different and so fun.

They still drink four bottles a day.  I mix it - half formula/half whole milk.  I'm transitioning to full whole milk and no more formula soon.  I bought ten cans of formula last week and once it runs out we are officially DONE with formula (at least for a few months).  Hopefully the next baby will breastfeed well, but ya never know.  They are getting SO much better at eating.  I can cut up small pieces of table food and they actually eat it without gagging.  This is HUGE!!  I also feed them baby food, but at least half their meal they can eat themselves.  Their favorites right now are pancakes and french toast.

We tried our new forward facing car seats a couple days ago.  They definitely like facing forward and watching Baby Einstein, but they still don't like being in the car for more than an hour or so.  They just want to be out crawling around.  They all talk and scream all day.  They mainly say "mama", "dada", "baba" but still don't know what those words really mean.

::CRUZ::
Weight - 22 lb
Height - 30.75 in
Clothes - 12-18 months, 18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Cruz is definitely the most content out of the three right now.  A few months ago he was the most needy, but he has grown a little more independent and just crawls and plays with random toys.  He is seriously one happy kid.  This last month he has been napping a lot better.  I just give him his blanket and he dives into his crib - starts sucking his finger - and puts himself to bed.  He LOVES bath time and splashing water everywhere.  He'll put his head under the facet and just let it run down his face.  He also LOVES crawling up stairs but doesn't know how to go down, so it's pretty scary.  He will hold his own bottle for a couple ounces, then throws it down and wants me to feed him the rest.  Cruz has learned to scream just like his sister - this HIGH pitch scream.  They think they are so funny.  He still has eight teeth.

::KASH::
Weight - 22 lb
Height - 30.5 in
Clothes - 12-18 months, 18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Kash has become a little more needy this last month.  After I feed him, he'll crawl around and play with toys, then look back and make sure I'm still in the room.  If I get up to wash dishes or unload the dishwasher he'll crawl to the gate and whine until I come and hold him.  Weirdo.  Kash still has eight teeth like his brother.  He's getting really good at walking along furniture.  He also loves bath time and splashing water everywhere.  He loves to crawl upstairs and races his brother to the top.  Kash will hold his bottle for about 1/2-3/4, then wants me to feed him the rest.  I'm glad they are at least learning how to do it on their own.  It saves a ton of time since I can change their diaper while they drink the first part by themselves.

 ::JULIE::
Weight - 23 lb 6 oz
Height - 30 in
Clothes - 12-18 months, 18 months
Diapers - Size 4
Julie learned to pull herself up this past month (3/19) and has now started walking a little along furniture.  She's also getting better at climbing upstairs, but she's still a lot slower than her brothers.  She has her two bottom teeth and the top four teeth are all coming in at once.  I think her fangs will come in before her two front teeth and make her look like a little vampire.  :)  Julie holds her bottle and usually finishes the whole thing on her own.  She doesn't really like to be fed baby food and would rather just pick up pieces on her own and feed herself.  She's going to be one of those babies that wants to do everything herself.  I can already tell.  She still talks and screams all day long.  She's teaching her brothers how to scream too.

29th Birthday

I had planned on just getting a baby-sitter on my birthday - go to a matinee movie and maybe pick up some dinner on the way home.  Curtis told me to have the babysitter come earlier - like around 12:30pm.  He said he wanted to have a little lunch party with friends.  It was the absolute perfect party.  Yummy food, awesome decorations, and great friends.

We have been so lucky and met some amazing people here in Clovis.  Like - lifetime friends kind of people.  I seriously was SO worried when we moved from the comfort of Utah.  How in the heck was I going to meet people with newborn triplets and rarely leaving my house?  But somehow it worked out.  The people here have just welcomed us with open arms.  Especially the Parker family.  We just adore them.
 Curtis left the decorations up to my friend Janessa.  Seriously…can they get any cuter?  She is so talented and just has an eye for this kind of thing.

 Westwood BBQ.  Yum!!

Such a perfect day!

March Update

March has been a great month.  Happy, healthy babies is always a good thing.  Curtis has been traveling a lot more with work and his new job, so I'm trying to manage things on my own all day.  My mom has been so flexible and comes to Clovis whenever Curtis has overnight stays away from home.  Soooo nice of her!
Auntie Trisha came to town for  her birthday weekend.  We celebrated at Cheesecake Factory.  I was a little worried how the babies would do, but they did great!!

They loved the menus…and the bread.  :)
Giants fans...

When we go for walks, Cruz will occasionally look back and make sure we're still there.  It's so cute.
Cruz and Gigi.  Yummmm.
Julie getting her nails did.
While my mom was in town we had some girls over for a little bread making class.  So fun!
I love Costco carts.
Cruz & Kash
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
First time to the neighborhood pool.  The water was FREEZING cold, but they still loved it.
Miss Julie learned how to hold her own bottle.  The boys are lazy.

Julie was so interested in what Kash was doing.
She's hilarious.
Cruz was trying to watch Baby Einstein.  Nerd.

Brothers out to lunch.
Uncle Kenny came to town for the weekend.  It was so good to see him.  :)
Yep, eating Cheerios off the floor.  Whatever makes them happy.
Our new stroller.  Getting ready for baby #4.
Little stinkers.

Julie doesn't like the feel of grass on her legs.
Working on her plank.
Cruz is such a little ham.

Baby #4 - 21 Weeks

I had my 21 week appointment last week.  I got to hear little baby boy's heartbeat.  Sweetest sound in the world.  It's crazy how different a singleton pregnancy is than triplets.  We got to see the triplets at EVERY single appointment - which was every other week, then every week, then twice a week.  With one, they just listen to the heartbeat, feel your tummy, and send you on your way until next month.

I'm feeling really good right now.  My sciatic pain is WAY less than what it was a few weeks ago.  I followed some advice from a comment on my last pregnancy post and had Curtis put his elbow on my butt cheek and massage it out.  I thought it sounded crazy, but it totally worked!  The next day it felt SO much better.  It still hurts, but at least I can function as a mom and even work out still.  My skin is OUTRAGEOUS again.  Just when I thought it was getting better it took a turn for the worse.  Holy hell!  I can take feeling nauseous, exhausted, getting fat, back pain - but the worst part about pregnancy for me is the acne for sure.  I know that sounds totally vain, but I hate it.  Oh well, what are ya gonna do?

I started feeling this little guy flutter around at about 18 weeks.  Now he moves and kicks all the time.  I don't really notice it until the babies are napping on in bed for the night.  It such a crazy/awesome feeling.  I just love him already.
