Hawaii 2012

A few months ago we realized Kenny's LAST football game of his college career was in Oahu, Hawaii.  We decided we were going to go support him - and also have a nice little vacation.  I almost talked myself out of going to save money - but then realized that after March/April (when these babies come) we weren't going to take a vacation in a LONG time.  So we went.  And enjoyed every minute! We flew out the day after Thanksgiving.  Beware of picture overload:
Our cute little condo two blocks away from the beach. Cute. Cheap. Perfect.
View from the condo. The pink hotel is where my cousin Lieren works :)
Yep - they have Spam singles.  I almost had a midnight snack.  Not.
I love the beach!

Downtown parade.

Curtis HATES heights. So we stayed on the 21st floor :)
UNLV vs. Hawaii
UNLV lost bad, but Kenny played well, so that's all that matters.

We went to church with my cousin Lieren.  They meet in the tabernacle. It was a beautiful building!  We went to lunch with them afterwards.
.love him.
Uncle Lorin, Lieren, & Chandler

I LOVED hanging out with Lieren and Chandler!  We miss them SO much.

Curtis and I took a Sunday hike up Manoa Falls.  It was more like a dribble.

Night stroll on the beach!

Lieren recommended going to Lanikai Beach.  It was gorgeous and the sand was SO soft, but it was a pretty windy day, so we left early.

That same day we hiked up Maunawili Falls.  We got lost on the way up.  Curtis swore he would never hike again haha.  They said it was a beginner hike but my legs were killing me afterwards!  :)  I would definitely recommend the hike. It was really pretty all the way up.

There's a waterfall at the end that you can jump off.  FREEZING cold water.  Curtis wouldn't do it.
Smiazu shaved ice. Delicious!  We got 1/2 rootbeer float 1/2 creme brulee.
Dinner at Ihop.  They have the BEST harvest grain pancakes.  My absolute fav!
I hiked Maunawili Falls in flip flops.  My feet were tore up afterwards, so we went and got pedicures :)
Not really sure :)

Waikiki Beach!

Curtis was playing with my camera.

I already wanna go back.
I think every single person in Waikiki took pictures by this Christmas Tree.  So we needed one too.

Burger King has the BEST ice cream EVER.  I think we went there almost every night :)
Flying back home.  :(
Best travel partner ever.  I think he was asleep before we ever took off.

I miss this boy!

Thanksgiving 2012

This Thanksgiving was particularly special.  Curtis and I have so much to be thankful for.  We have three perfect little babies growing in one amazing sister-in-law, the best family and friends anyone could ever ask for, great jobs that we both love, and so much more!  It seriously blows me away at how much support we have received over the last few months from friends, family, and even strangers.  Truly amazing!
This year we spent Thanksgiving with Curtis' family in California.  We drove down the Saturday before and caught one of Kenny's games.  It was "Senior Day" so they recognized all the seniors :)
Kenny's last home game!  So proud of him.

Curtis had to work in So Cal prior to Thanksgiving.  We got to spend a few days in Ventura to scout out the area.  We haven't picked out exactly where we want to live yet, but I think we narrowed it down to Camarillo or Oxnard. We'll see.  :)
I think over Thanksgiving Curtis ate at Jack-in-the-Box about 17 times.  It's definitely his favorite fast-food place.  I LOVE the churros!
Tyson came with us.  He's going to live in California with Curtis these next few months since I moved in with my friend Kym.  Herman definitely has a new best friend.  He plays fetch with him all the time. So cute!  I miss Tyson so much already.  Sounds stupid, but he is totally like our little kid.

We also got to hang out with my brother Mitch's family while we were in Palmdale (I forgot to take pictures).  Mitch lives like 10 miles away from Curtis' parents. It's perfect - we get to see him every time we come to town!  We went to Outback, had root beer floats, and got to catch up on everything!

Herman's new ride.
Thanksgiving with Cheryl's family!

Team Babies - 14 Weeks 4 Days

We had an ultrasound today and things looked great!  All the babies are growing well and measuring on schedule.  The Dr. said all 3 babies have 3 vessel umbilical cords, which is awesome. I guess sometimes identical twins can have 2 vessel cords.
Baby A
Baby B
Baby C had it's hands up by it's face with it's legs crossed. So cute!
All THREE!!
It's crazy how much you can love something that has only been around for 14.5 weeks.  :)
Jamie is starting to get a little belly. Cutest thing! She says the "morning sickness" has subsided-which is great. We can't wait to find out the genders of these little guys!

Moving

Yes, the rumors are true, we are moving to California.  Sad.  :(  It's the WORST timing ever, but also the BEST timing ever!
Here's the scoop:
A few months ago Curtis applied for a promotion within his company.  His territory would have been the whole state of Utah and Las Vegas.  Curtis LOVES what he does and LOVES the company he works for.  This was a perfect opportunity for him to move up - and obviously make a little more money.  Curtis has been a pharmaceutical rep for the past 4 years (2 years with his current company).  The people he was interviewing against have been drug reps for 10-15 years.  They far exceeded him in experience - but he still felt like he had a great chance at getting the position (due to his amazing personality and work ethic). :)  Well...he didn't get the job.  They told him they really liked him and he made a GREAT impression, but they decided to go with someone else.  During his interview they asked him about his family and he told them we were both from CA.  He said he liked Utah and planned on living there for the next few years, but would love to get back to California sometime in the future.  Four days after he was told he didn't get the job - they called him back and offered him a promotion in CA.  What?!  This was not in our plans right now.  This was ONE day after Jamie peed on a stick and we found out we were expecting.  We couldn't believe it!  I immediately said NO WAY!  There is no way we could move in the middle of the pregnancy.  Also, our life in Utah seemed great - I love my job, love my house, love my neighborhood, love my ward, love that my sister and brother live close by, etc. I planned to work part-time after the "baby" was born and I wanted to continue working in the ER.  He tried to explain how this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.  It provides increased job security, puts him on track for management, increased pay, etc.  I still wasn't sold.  We have ALWAYS wanted to move back to CA, but the timing just seemed horrible.  We fasted and prayed about it - and for some reason it just felt right.  A week later we found out we were having TRIPLETS!! Which means I definitely won't be working after these babies are born, which means we lose one whole income while adding 3 kids to our family, which means this promotion couldn't have come at a better time!  It's crazy how Heavenly Father works.  We are SO blessed!
So...this is our plan for the next few months.  Curtis has already started his new job.  He flew out last week to New Jersey for training and has to be in CA full time starting December 1st.  He'll move in with his dad in CA - and we'll find an apartment out there by March!  I definitely want to stay out in Utah the whole pregnancy so I can help Jamie with whatever she needs, continue working in the ER & save money, and be at every appointment!  I'm going to move in with my friend Kym and rent out our town home.

My new roommate Kym! Love her.

We didn't think we'd be able to find renters til January 1st.  We placed it on KSL and immediately got hits. Crazy! These 3 guys came over to look at it.  By the end of the tour they asked, "Where do we sign? We want it!"  They signed a 13 month contract and want to move in December 1st! Perfect!  It's definitely going to be hard being away from Curtis over the next few months, but we'll make it work.  I know I'm going to MISS my amazing family in Utah and all the wonderful friends we have made, but for some reason we are supposed to be in CA for the next couple years...
The things I'll miss most from Utah:
