Remodel

When we purchased our town house...we knew we wanted to one day remodel the main floor. But, after we finished our basement I thought remodeling was out of the question. Curtis got the great idea one night to sand and stain our kitchen cabinets. Well, needless to say...it turned out HORRIBLE haha... The stain would only take in certain areas. We called my cousin Bryan to get estimates on new cabinets. He gave us a great deal, so we decided to get new ones....and we sold the ruined ones on KSL for $500! :) Curtis thought...if we get new cabinets, we need to put in new countertops...and if we get new cabinets...it's a perfect time to get new floors...etc! We really liked the big rectangle tile...but it was $4.74 sq/ft. We went to home depot and found some 16x16 square tile for $0.88 and couldn't pass it up! So our "cabinet" project turned into a full remodel. It turned out great! :)

Karaoke

Last week Curtis and I got together with some of my friends from Ruby River to sing karaoke. My friend Tiffany is actually really good. :) I was trying to get Curtis up on stage...but he wasn't having any of it. Then out of nowhere they called CB to the stage. Haha... He was hilarious!! He sang John Michael Montgomery "Sold". :) Soooo funny!

St. George Getaway

My sister Stephanie and her 5 boys joined Curtis and I on a trip to St. George last week. It was a lot of fun!! Curtis can get these awesome condos for the week...so it fit us all. :) Her boys LOVED swimming all day in the hot sun!

Slicing Lemons...No Good!

I was slicing lemons at Ruby River last week...and the knife slipped! I sliced the tip of my finger off. Yuck! My manager and I did some first aid...and got it to stop bleeding :) I had to play in a volleyball tournament that night...and I knew it would KILL if it got hit with the ball...so I went to the doctor and had them numb it up. :) They put a shot right into the wound so it would stay numb for about 7 hours. It hurt for 5 seconds...but then was numb for 7 hours. So nice! :) They gave me a pre-filled syringe for the next day of the tournament. The numbness was starting to wear off, so I gave the syringe to Curtis to poke me. He was so nervous that when he stuck the needle in...he didn't push any of the medicine in. I think he was scared of hurting me. I know I'm going to be a nurse soon...but I still couldn't give myself the shot. I had another volleyball tournament this last Saturday...and we have a doctor who lives a few houses down...so he came over in the morning and gave me another shot. :) We ended up taking 1st in both volleyball tournaments...so it was worth it! :)
...pic taken with my phone... I had to clip off the skin that was hanging...
Here's a pic of the syringe...and coban wrap :)
All ready to play! :)

3 Years!

I can't believe it's been three years already!! It's crazy how fast the years have flown by. :) Whoever said marriage is easy is lying...marriage is hard work...but totally worth it in the end!
Today we woke up early and got a couple's massage at Mainspring's Day Spa. It was a great deal...so we decided to upgrade to 90 minutes. AMAZING!! After Curtis got home from work, we went up to Salt Lake for dinner and a movie. We got back to Provo pretty early so we decided to go bowling...where I kicked his trash 139 to 134! Here's a few wedding pictures...just for me to reminisce... :) Happy 3 years babe!! I love you!!

One of my favorite quotes on love is by Dr. Suess..."You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."

Last Day...Saltimbanco Cirque Du Soleil!

On the last day of the family reunion we planned to go to Saltimbanco Cirque Du Soleil up at the E Center in Salt Lake. First, John and I went and hit golf balls at the driving range. I am terrible!! I need to get a coach to teach me the correct golf swing! I really want to learn someday! :)
Before the show we went to dinner at Johnny Carino's. The Cirque Du Soleil show was AMAZING!! Those people are outrageous!! They are so strong and have amazing balance!! :)
It was sad to see my family go home. I wish we all lived closer together!
