My Human Anatomy class is FINALLY over! I have never worked so hard in one class in my entire life! This class is broken up into a lecture and a lab portion. You have quizzes, a midterm, and a final in each part. These are my note cards for my lecture final...hahaha... I think I get more out of making the note cards than actually studying them. I accidentally left these note cards in my classroom the night before the final. So Curtis and I went to UVU campus at 11:00pm and everything was locked. We had to search for security to let us in and open up my classroom door just to get these freakin' note cards so I could study a little longer :) Everything worked out though because I got an A in the class!! I was so excited to see that my work had paid off.

Floatin' Down The River!

Curtis, Kim, Juli, and Zac getting ready to float down the Provo river!!

K...No one told me the river was going to be ABSOLUTELY FREEZING!!! It was colder than refrigerator water!! My feet were frozen for hours haha... It was a lot of fun though :) Great friends...tons of laughs...floating in inner tubes...has to be fun! The only BAD thing that happened was Curtis lost his wedding ring in the river. He fell out of his tube and when he got back in his ring was gone. :( So sad! I think the freezing water made his fingers skinny and it fell off. :(

Here is Zac falling out of his tube for the 7th time :)

Poor Curtis!
Curtis finally had surgery on his ankle last week!! He injured it his senior year of football and it's been killing him ever since! During the season he would just shoot it up with this numbing stuff so he would be able to play. He never had the time to be off his feet for four weeks...and not run for three months...so he just waited and waited. His ankle used to hurt a lot after working out or running...but now it was to the point where it would just throb out of nowhere. The doctor took an MRI and said he had a bone spur and some cartilage damage...but when he actually got in there he said it was worse case scenario. Inside his ankle the cartilage was completely shredded. A huge 2x2 cm chunk completely fell off his tibia. No wonder he was in so much pain...he had no cartilage padding his ankle joint. The doctor cleaned in all up, shaved down his bone spur, and drilled holes up into his tibia. I guess if you let the bone bleed out a little, the blood can nourish the ankle joint and hopefully cushion it. He said that in 10-15 years there is a 99% chance Curtis will have major arthritis problems and they will probably have to fuse his ankle joint. Hopefully he's in that 1% where things turn out great and normal. I'm so glad he won't be in pain now...at least for the next 10 years!
All cleaned up...

4th Of July!
Our 4th of July was a perfect day. Curtis and I went to the mall in the morning and bought some new shorts for the summer. Zumiez has really cute long shorts if anyone is looking :) Then we went over to my Aunt Chari's house for a BBQ/birthday party for Kaiden. It was fun seeing everyone. I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures from there. Later we met up with Zac Erekson and rode motorcycles to the Stadium of Fire. We didn't actually go in, we just parked nearby to watch the fireworks. A motorcycle is the only way to go to the Stadium of Fire because traffic is so bad afterwards, but we just drove through the middle and got out quick. When we got home, we saw tons of smoke down the street from our house. It totally smelt like fire as soon as we pulled up. There were big chunks of ashes flying in the air. I thought there were town homes or apartments on fire, but when we drove closer it was just trees and brush. The flames were huge though, about as tall as me. That's why you play with fireworks in the street!

These firework pictures were taken from my phone, so they aren't the best.
These are pictures of the nearby fire. Kinda scary!

Tearin' Up!

On Sunday, I walked downstairs to find Curtis watching the Walt Disney movie The Game Plan. Towards the end of the movie there is a really cute part where the little girl is cheering for her dad. I looked over at Curtis and saw him wiping away tears! Not only this once, but a couple more times during the movie! I don't ever really cry in movies. I might get a little misty, but never real tears. Curtis had real tears! haha... It was kinda funny...and totally cute!
